After repainting three rooms, a household has half-used cans with labels that will soon become hard to find. They want one browser record for future repairs and a limited view for a trusted decorator. They do not need inventory, receipts, photographs, project tasks, or reminders.

Create the log and secure recovery

The organizer creates “Home paint record” and remains on the recovery screen until the manager link is copied to a trusted password manager. No address or household-member identity is entered.

Add spaces and distinct surfaces

Kitchen receives separate records for Linen 214 eggshell walls and Soft White W08 semi-gloss trim. The bedroom gets a Cloud 01 matte ceiling and a current Harbor Blue HB-42 eggshell wall application. Exact label text is saved without creating a simulated color swatch.

Preserve the bedroom's previous coat

The bedroom walls previously used Sandstone S17. Adding Harbor Blue as a repaint marks Sandstone historical instead of deleting it. A later search for HB-42 finds the current application, while the manager can still inspect the superseded record.

Share current details and set expectations

The organizer sends the decorator only the viewer link copied beside its QR code. The decorator can search active current surfaces but cannot edit or inspect manager-only notes. Before touching up a wall, they test a sample because the saved formula cannot guarantee a match with aged paint.
